Our Medical Staff
The orthopedic surgeons at South Shore Orthopedic Associates are highly trained physicians who evaluate, medically treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions of the skeletal and muscular systems of your body.
An orthopedic surgeon's post-graduate training includes:
- 4 years in medical school
- 1 year surgical internship
- A minimum of 4 years in a hospital residency
- Additional advanced, specialized training
The certified orthopedic physician assistant (PA-C) at South Shore is a health care professional licensed to practice medicine with physician supervision. As part of his comprehensive responsibilities, the PA conducts physical exams, diagnoses and treats illnesses, orders and interprets tests, counsels on preventative health care, assists in surgery, and writes prescriptions.
