About Your Bill
If you have had or are receiving surgery with South Shore Orthopedics there will be three separate charges for which you will be responsible. SSO will bill you only for the services provided by the Physician and any assistant that may have been necessary. You will also be billed a facility charge by the Hospital where your services were provided. Lastly, you will be responsible for any charges for services provided by the anesthesiologist which the hospital chooses to use.
South Shore Orthopedics
If you receive a SSO bill by mail or email, you can view your statement and make payments within our health ipass care portal on https://portal.healthipass.com/login. If you don’t have an account, you can request one, or pay over the phone by calling 781-337-5555, option 1 to reach our billing department.
South Shore Health
If you receive a South Shore Health bill in the mail, you can view your statement and make payments within your South Shore MyChart account. If you don’t have an account, you can request one, or pay through their Guest page on southshorehealth.org. If you have any questions about your healthcare bills or want to pay over the phone, please contact their Patient Accounts at 781-624-8000. Bills through South Shore Health differ based on your condition and or illness; the number of physicians, physician assistants, technicians and nurses who manage your care; how long you were hospitalized; the medication you received; and the supplies that were necessary to care for you.
